Session Description:

SSG Luka Ndungu will provide an overview of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). SSG Ndungu is a Ph.D. candidate in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences (OEHS) at USUHS. With expertise in environmental pollution, particularly water quality, he has made significant contributions to the field by publishing his scientific work that evaluates the impact of harmful algal blooms on freshwater ecosystems. SSG Ndungu holds an MS degree in Environmental Science from Florida Gulf Coast University and is currently focused on evaluating the effects of harmful algal bloom metabolites on mosquito life history parameters. He is the first enlisted Soldier to lead the pursuit of a Ph.D. in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences at USUHS.
