CPH EXAM ELIGIBILITY

There are multiple pathways to eligibility including academic and work experience, suitable for practitioners at all levels, including:

Students and Alumni who complete all degree requirements for a graduate-level degree from a CEPH-accredited school or program of public health.
Other bachelor’s or graduate degree and at least three to five years of public health work experience.

WHAT IS THE CPH

The Certified in Public Health (CPH) exam is administered by the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE). The CPH credential is the only credential of its kind for public health professionals that demonstrates knowledge of key public health sciences and a commitment to the field through recertification continuing education earned by engaging in a variety of public health related activities focused on current and emerging public health issues. CPH professionals raise the bar and enhance the public health profession through their exemplary academic and leadership skills.

CPH EXAM CONTENT

The 200 question CPH exam covers the areas of knowledge relevant to contemporary public health. The content outline of the exam has been modified based on a recent Job Task Analysis.
